Women’s Health Week 2024: Your voice, your choice

Held during the first week of September, Women’s Health Week aims to raise awareness of the health and wellbeing of all women and girls in Australia, encouraging women to make choices that are right for them.

This year, women’s health organisation Jean Hailes for Women’s Health is championing the theme #YourVoiceYourChoice.

“Women are empowered to enjoy good health and wellbeing when they have voice, choice and power to make their own decisions about their health.  That is, being encouraged to use their voice, to not be afraid to ask for what they need, and thus transform the power relationship between a woman and her health professional.

There are many ways to get involved. Attend an event, listen to a podcast, sign up to receive health information, or print a poster to display in your workplace, including the women’s Good Nutrition Guide. Or perhaps, have a coffee and chat with someone about women’s health.

Four promotional kits, including an accessible version and tailored kits for workplaces, communities and First Nations groups are available.
