A research team from the University of Southern Queensland are investigating primary care nurses’ knowledge, confidence, challenges and support needs in chronic pain management in Australia.
The findings of the project will inform the development of future educational resources and support programs for primary care nurses.
Nurses currently working in primary care settings are eligibile to participate. To take part in the project, click the link here – redcap.unisq.edu.au/surveys/?s=XADC74AK34WKCL4N
Participation involved an anonymous online survey that takes 15-20 minutes. Questions will explore nurses’ current knowledge of chronic pain and its management, how confident they feel managing chronic pain as part of their clinical role, and the challenges or barriers they experience in delivering chronic pain care. Additional one-on-one interviews are optional.
