Research into recently graduated RNs’ nutritional knowledge, attitude, and practice

A research team from Deakin University (Dr Claire Margerison, Assoc Professor Ewa Szymlek-Gay, Dr Jennifer McCann, and Masters of Human Nutrition Candidate Cathy Stanguts) are investigating nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and practice of recently graduated registered nurses (RNs), working in a variety of Australian primary and tertiary healthcare settings. The Masters project will explore general nutrition knowledge and assess specific nutrition knowledge in relation to the management of common chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, overweight/obesity, depression/anxiety, and malnutrition. The project will also explore RNs’ attitudes and practice in relation to the provision of nutrition care.

Interested participants who are RNs that graduated between 2018-2021 are invited to complete a (20-minute) voluntary online survey that asks about knowledge, attitudes, and clinical practice regarding nutrition. To access the survey, please click the link or QR code below.
