The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) have frozen their annual registration fee for nurses and midwives for 2024/25
The cost of renewing general registration for nurses and midwives will remain at $185.
The fee will cover the upcoming registration period commencing on 1 April 2025. The annual renewal fee will apply from 18 September 2024 and for most practitioners covers the registration period of 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026.
“Keeping fees as low as possible for nurses and midwives, while ensuring we can meet our regulatory obligations and the expectations of the public and practitioners is an ongoing priority of the Board,” Nursing and Midwifery Board chair, Adjunct Professor Veronica Casey, said.
“The Board is pleased to be in a position to freeze fees this year. We continually work toward keeping fees as low as possible while ensuring that we meet our objective of keeping the public safe.”
