Australia’s leading digital healthcare publisher, Therapeutic Guidelines, and Advanced Pharmacy Australia have partnered to promote the quality use of medicines by increasing access to trusted, evidenced-based clinical resources that support decision-making at the point of care.

Australia’s long-standing trusted guide to safely administering oral medicines to people with enteral feeding tubes or swallowing difficulties, Don’t Rush to Crush will become more widely accessible via a new web app that will include information on more than 600 oral medicines available in Australia. It will become available on the Therapeutic Guidelines platforms from 23 March.

The partnership has also delivered ObesiD, an industry first resource designed to enhance care for patients with obesity. It will provide concise, evidence-based advice on more than 70 medicines and guidance dosage adjustment principles to support use of medicines in patients living with obesity. The resource will be accessible through a dedicated web and mobile app, with features including an integrated body weight calculator. The digital experience was designed to support health professionals in delivering confident patient care in this space. It will be available on Therapeutic Guidelines platforms from 16 March.

Therapeutic Guidelines plan to introduce additional guidelines through the year, focused on kidney and urinary issues, and sleep disorders, to further support practitioners. Updated to antibiotic guidelines will also be published.
