Applications are now open for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships across nursing, midwifery and aged care funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.
The government provides health workforce education support through the scholarships, which aim to assist students to enter the health workforce and help existing health professionals to maintain or upgrade their skills and qualifications and other forms of CPD.
The scholarships range in value from $6,000 to $30,000 depending on the type of course and length of study.
Administered by ACN, the latest round of available scholarships, which are now open for application and close on 25 October, cover:
Nursing and Midwifery Scholarships: Undergraduate
Applications will be considered from those who are studying or intending to study the following in semester one 2021:
- Diploma of Nursing
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Bachelor of Midwifery
Nursing and Midwifery Scholarships: Postgraduate
Applications will be considered from those who are studying or intending to study the following in semester one 2021:
- Graduate Certificate
- Graduate Diploma
- Masters
Aged Care Scholarships: Undergraduate
Applications will be considered from those who are studying or intending to study the following in semester one 2021:
- Certificate IV in Aged Care
- Diploma of Nursing
- Advanced Diploma of Nursing
Aged Care Nursing Scholarships: Postgraduate
Applications will be considered from those who are undertaking a course which commenced or is continuing in semester one 2021 in the following:
- Graduate Certificate
- Graduate Diploma
- Masters
