Senior Clinical Roles
Senior clinical roles in New Zealand
For all of us at Summerset, person-centred aged care is about being part of a very special community.
We’re exceptional. Our residents are the centre of our world, which is growing faster than ever.
And that’s why we need you, your clinical expertise, and your leadership here in New Zealand.
Who do we need?
We’re looking for senior clinical staff who are either interested in making their next career move or are experienced in clinical leadership and ready for an exciting new opportunity in New Zealand. For all our roles you’ll need proven leadership skills, a Bachelor of Nursing, and at least five years’ postgraduate experience relevant to working with older people. You’ll also have strong familiarity working within a person-centred care model with older people and ideally in dementia and palliative care.
You’ll also need to have a current Annual Practicing Certificate from the Nursing Council of New Zealand or registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with an Annual Practising Certificate pending.
You might know these roles by different names, but don’t worry. Your expertise is what’s important, and we can work with you to find the role that’s the best fit. That could be now or later – we’ve got immediate and ongoing vacancies and roles coming up in the future.
We’re looking for:
Senior Registered Nurses – you’ll bring your nursing expertise to a team that’s dedicated to providing outstanding person-centred care and create a wonderful lifestyle for Summerset’s Care Centre residents.
Memory Care (Dementia) Leads – working as part of the facility leadership team in partnership with the Care Centre Manager and collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Leader and Diversional Therapists, you’ll ensure that the residents in our cutting-edge, architecturally-designed Memory Care Suites have bespoke, person-centred care plans and activities to deliver best-of-life outcomes.
Clinical Nurse Leaders – working in partnership with the Care Centre Manager, you’ll put in place care systems, processes and approaches to practice, and monitor them to ensure that our residents’ care and clinical needs are continuously met.
Care Centre Managers – you’ll lead the team in our Care Centres, making sure that our teams have the clinical support and resources they need to deliver the quality of care Summerset has become known for as an industry leader in NZ.
Regional Quality Managers – you’ll work across several Care Centres and collaborate with the Village and Care Centre Managers to ensure our villages provide a leading model of care, with quality systems and a focus on continuous improvement.
What Summerset can do for you
At Summerset, you can do your best work. Everything we do is values-driven, and the reason we’re here is to make sure our residents get the care they all deserve, from independent living support to secure dementia care. The fact that we’re the fastest-growing person- centred aged care provider in New Zealand, with the best benefits in the sector, is testament to the quality of care we provide and the people we employ.
By bringing the best of life to our residents, we stand apart in New Zealand aged care. There’s truly no better place to develop your clinical career.
Your life in New Zealand
Whether you’re coming home or you’re new to New Zealand, we want you and your family to enjoy your new life. New Zealand’s a beautiful country, safe for families, and with more opportunities for outdoor experiences than you’ll know what to do with. We know we can provide you with a supportive working environment, career pathways, benefits and job security, but we want the lifestyle to be right for you as well.
That’s why we can give you plenty of options for location – Summerset have villages all over the country, in large and small cities and towns. We’re opening new villages every year, so we can work with you to find you a role and location you and your family will thrive in.
What to do next
Put your clinical skills and experience to excellent use and bring the best of life to Summerset residents.
