Salary range $68,754 to $87,282 per annum depending on experience (in accordance with relevant EBA)

The Mental Health Nursing Postgraduate Program is an integral part of RMH-North Western Mental Health and our Partner Health Services commitment to develop our future workforce and as such, we welcome enthusiastic Registered Nurses with a passion for mental health and a desire to specialise in this exciting field to join our team/s to provide compassionate and responsive care to individuals in need.

The 12 month structured program provides an excellent opportunity to extend your nursing knowledge in the specialist area of mental health nursing. As a postgraduate MHN at RMH (NWMH) or Northern Health, you will experience diverse, well rounded clinical rotations. Rotations take place in a variety of settings, across the lifespan and opportunities include emergency mental health, community mental health, acute and long term inpatient care settings.

Your new role:

Provide high quality standards of patient care. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration within multidisciplinary team
Perform nursing interventions and procedures in accordance with RMH policy and procedures
Recognise the Registered Psychiatric Nurse responsibilities for delegation of nursing care
Contribute to the development of an effective discharge plan and provide appropriate patient education and referral to appropriate community providers
