About the Role
The nursing relief program for Peel Sector allows nurses to come and spend anywhere from two weeks to two years (or longer) in our unique part of the world. Come and spend time in Walcha, Barraba, Manilla, Gunnedah, Werris Creek, and/or Quirindi. You will provide safe compassionate person centred care within the facility ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
All accommodation expenses are covered and assistance with travel can also be negotiated. In some towns we can even cover cost of your caravan parking. Family friendly accommodation may also be available in some towns. Placements can be full time, however part time work is also available, allowing your more time to explore the local towns and surrounds. All successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis if not already working within NSW Health. Casual Nurses wanting to live in the Peel sector and work across multiple sites on a casual basis are also encouraged to apply. The allocation of placements will be based on each person’s availability. An induction program is included with an option to complete an online sector induction prior to your first placement and then a local site indication upon commencement.
