Registered Nurse and/or Midwife – Renal Dialysis

As the Registered Nurse and/or Midwife – Renal Dialysis, you will provide nursing and/or midwifery services to renal patients requiring haemodialysis services to a group of patients within the Port Lincoln Hospital.

You will provide direct person centred care where you will assess individual patient/client needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies for patients in the Haemodialysis unit. You will be required to work with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.

You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate or registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate or registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.  You must have a demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice with experience in the haemodialysis of patients in a Renal unit or like.
This is a part time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.  In addition to the annual salary package, we also offer salary sacrifice benefits, employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.  COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
