The Registered Nurse/Midwife will provide evidence based care nursing and/or midwifery services in the Emergency Department of the Port Lincoln Hospital and Health Service while developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies.  He/she will be working with children, youth, women and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds and will be required to recognise and respond to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.

The applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate and have a demonstrated competence in the nursing within the Emergency Department.

This is a part time vacancy with more than one position available and a total of 1.1FTE.  Working hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.  In addition to the annual salary package, we also offer salary sacrifice benefits, employer superannuation contributions and leave loading.
