Cockatoo ward is a 30 bed unit that provides specialist care for patients aged from infancy to adolescence from Victoria, Australia and internationally. The clinical staff provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological, neurosurgical, metabolic, Endocrine and complex gastroenterology and hepatology conditions.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join RCH as the NUM of Cockatoo Ward (Surgical and Neuro Care).

In this role you will be responsible for providing leadership to staff throughout Cockatoo Ward and to ensure that clinical practice and delivery of care provided by staff is consistent with RCH, and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian standards through comprehensive, safe and evidence-based practice to facilitate optimal health outcomes. You will embed a culture of continuous improvement and a focus on quality outcomes and patient experience, which will be key to achieving excellence in customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
