About the facility
Be a part of an exciting expansion in Operating Services at Barwon Health. Building B Theatres is a new service within the existing Operating Services Department at Barwon Health. It consists of two new theatres, stage 1 and 2 recovery and a dedicated admission and discharge environment.
Operating Services at Barwon Health consists of 14 Operating theatres and one endoscopy suite across three points of care; Main Theatre, Gretta Volum Centre & Building B. At Barwon Health we operate on an average of 22,000 procedures a year and across of vast array of surgical specialities; Cardiothoracic, Cardiology, ENT, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Oral Faciomaxillary, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Vascular, Urology & Plastics.

About the role
Reporting to the Operating Services Manager the role of Nurse Unit Manager, Building B Theatres you will take on a leadership role in operational and strategic issues. You will possess sound communication skills, good time management skills and be well organised in your work practice. You will be skilled at setting clear expectations and be accountable for outcomes and have demonstrated experience in innovation and change management.
You must be a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. A health related post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded. You must have a significant level of nursing skill and proven commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice. You will have a demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development.
