The Nurse Unit Manager practices with an advanced level of autonomy to provide nursing services within the rural/remote health service setting.
The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for explicit portfolio content with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. Nurse Unit Manager’s apply operational leadership and principals of clinical governance. Nurse Unit Manager’s operationalise the strategies that support a work-based culture that promotes and support education, learning, research and workforce development.
