HANs are valued members of the healthcare team and work under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and/or Registered Nurses to provide Safe, Timely, Effective and Person-centred care to our patients and their families.

HANs work within clearly defined parameters, the role itself is often flexible and involves a mixture of direct care and other activities that support the nursing team.

Your new role:

• Participate in delegated care relating to patients’ activities of daily living, ensuring that the personal needs, dignity, and comfort of patients are maintained
• Provide constant observation to patients at risk of harm to self/others
• Collaborate with the multi­disciplinary health care team to achieve the desired patient outcomes
