Executive Director Women, Youth & Children
Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focused on the delivery of high quality, effective, person centred care. It provides acute, sub-acute, primary and community‐based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding region – a catchment of approximately 400,000 people.
The Centenary Hospital for Women and Children provides services including obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology and paediatrics with associated allied health and support services. Specialist services are provided for children and young people with acute and chronic conditions through paediatric medicine, rehabilitation services, oncology support and child and adolescent mental health services.
A range of community-based health services are delivered through community health centres and community nursing which include women’s health, youth and early childhood.
The Executive Director (ED), Women, Youth and Children is responsible for effectively managing the strategic direction and operations across their division as well as being innovative, accountable and driving change across their service area. The ED will work collaboratively to drive patient flow initiatives to ensure consumers receive timely access to services. The ED will maintain effective linkages across CHS and other ACT services to ensure that services delivered are person and family centred.
To be a strong candidate for this role you will:
- Have previous experience in leading and managing the delivery of health services in a tertiary setting.
- Be experienced in leading successful change programs and developing models of service delivery across the continuum of care.
- Have a track record of implementing divisional and organisational reform agendas to improve the delivery of quality health services and consumer health outcomes.
- Have a passion for the delivery of exceptional healthcare to women, youth and children
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $286,648 – $298,006 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $227,160.
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
