he Director of Nursing is the clinical lead and manager in the two remote Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) of Mapoon and Napranum in the Torres & Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that comprehensive Primary Health Care is appropriate and readily available to the members of the public. This is assisted by ensuring productive and welcoming relationships with local community organisations as well as engaging with health service stakeholders (i.e. RFDS, Apunipima & visiting specialist services).

To be successful in this role you will have:

• High level interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build networks and rapport with all members of the multidisciplinary team and wider community. Established working relationships within the Western Cape and wider TCHHS will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex Human Resource situations.
• Demonstrated skill in budget and cost centre management.
