Tell me more….This position, with support from Health Workers & other Men’s & Women’s Health Program team members, will focus on improving preventative gynaecological services (including Cervical Screening Testing) counselling and education within the Torres Strait Model for Primary Health Care which incorporates a Public Health and Primary Health Care framework on Thursday Island and the outer islands of the Torres Strait including Northern Peninsula Area.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated ability in delivering Family Planning & Contraceptive options – Willing to work towards developing skills for Pipelle Sampling, Mirena Insertion and Implanon
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Torres Strait Model for Primary Health Care and Primary Health Care concepts and how to apply this in remote settings

Total Remuneration value up to $143 803 comprising salary between $116,092 – $126 037 p.a

Requirements for the role:
Experience of working in continuity of care or caseload models and/or remote settings and/or indigenous or cross-cultural settings are highly desirable.
RIPERN endorsement and/or a current practicing certificate with Sexual Health endorsement or commitment to complete sexual health endorsement within twelve (12) months is essential
Registered Cervical Screening Test provider is mandatory and to occupy this position the necessary approval must be maintained.
