Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Sterile Processing Centre
About the Role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will support and assist the Nurse Unit Manager in achieving specific Key Performance Indicators as developed for the unit. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager, in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager, will administer and manage the professional and operational resources of the unit. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager, under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for providing mentoring and leadership to the team and for maintaining quality improvement systems.

Lead and direct staff to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in accordance with the Values and Heath Care Philosophy of the Sisters of Charity

Demonstrate an understanding of unit targets and how they can be achieved

Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of National Health Standards & other relevant standards

Actively participate in quality improvement activities including assessments and audits

Participate in annual & ongoing reviews of policies, procedures and standards of designated area as directed by the Nurse Unit Manager
Classifications for this position will range from classification YW11 – YW12 ($100,703 – $104,00 per annum) pro rata.
About the Sterile Processing Centre
St Vincent’s Sterile Processing Centre plays a crucial role in the daily operations of St Vincent’s Hospital, providing sterilization services to our Operating Suite and Endoscopy Unit. The unit runs over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week.
