The Role:
- An Assistant in Nursing provides direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse
- You may be required to assist patients and family members in completing forms for their hospital care.
- Maintain your skills and knowledge required for the role.
- This role may vary slightly depending on the area in which you will work.

The Hospital:
- The Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), Latrobe has 95 beds and offers general and specialist health services including 24 hour emergency department, general medicine day surgery and endoscopy, rehabilitation, palliative care and oncology services along with a variety of specialist clinics. Mersey Community hospital is a dedicated elective surgery centre and provides a mixture of general hospital services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensive clinical training programs.

Multiple fixed term, casual, shift work (fully rotational), position working as and when required, commencing from 6 November 2022 until 31 May 2023

Salary: $34.93 – $38.38 per hour inclusive of a 24% loading + 10.5% superannuation as applicable + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurse and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award
