Registered Nurses are being invited to take part in an important survey which aims to help to improve the healthcare outcomes for people with Intellectual Disability (ID) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Currently, there is very little known about the workforce profile and education of nurses addressing the needs of people with ID/ASD in hospital and community healthcare settings. Additionally, we don’t know much about the self-perceived education, preparedness, comfort, and confidence of nurses caring for this cohort.

Your pivotal feedback will help researchers to learn more about Registered Nurses educational and clinical experiences working with people with ID/ASD. Such information can help inform education and training content in this area, and subsequently improve the health outcomes of patients with ID/ASD.

The survey is being undertaken by the  Southern Cross University and the University of Sydney.
