The impact of gender in relation to nursing leadership positions is being examined by Nursing Now campaign and Intrahealth International .
The organisations are conducting a survey of nurses worldwide to examine how gender is related to:
- Perceptions of nurses, and of nurses in leadership positions
- Nurses’ experience with discrimination and harassment
- Challenges and barriers nurses face in moving into positions of leadership
The responses will help inform a Gender Assessment of Nursing Leadership to be released in 2019 with recommendations for strengthening nursing leadership.
The survey closes 8 February 2019. Participants are encourage to respond to all relevant questions. Filling out this survey should not take longer than 30 minutes.
