Fundamentals of HIV Nursing Course
This course will focus on the nurse’s role in the fundamentals of HIV prevention, care, and monitoring. This will be explored through presentations, panel discussions, insights from a person with lived experience of HIV, and an online learning module.
This FREE course is available both in-person for those based in Sydney and online for nurses around Australia.
- Outline the basic science of HIV
- Recognise the nurse’s role in HIV prevention
- Discuss who should be offered HIV tests and the nurse’s role in testing
- Discuss the nurse’s role in HIV monitoring, including co-morbidity assessments
