Courses in Public Health

Institution: University of Melbourne

Protect and improve the health of people and the community by preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health through society through our courses in public health.

We have many courses available across key areas such as gerontology, health economics, health policy, indigenous health, infectious disease epidemiology and sexual health at various award levels.

Our Master of Advancing Nursing Practice/Master of Public Health combined program allows graduates to lead health service developments and oversee changes to nursing practice in a way that creates change at a population level.

Our Specialist and Graduate Certificates in Public Health will prepare you for public health practice and augment existing professional skills in health care practice, policy and management.

Or, our Graduate Certificates in Sexual Health or Gerontology will allow you to specialise and advance your nursing career.

The University of Melbourne is ranked number 1 in Australia and 12th globally for public health (Academic Ranking of World Universities 2022) and is also ranked 14th globally for clinical, pre-clinical and health (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022).
