Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation NT (ANMFNT) Secretary Heidi Crisp has been elected President of UnionsNT, the peak body representing unions and workers across the Northern Territory.
Ms Crisp was elected unopposed to the position at UnionsNT’s Annual General Meeting on 7 September, succeeding outgoing President Cath Hatcher. Members of the Council acknowledged Ms Hatcher’s tireless dedication and significant contribution to the union movement and working Territorians throughout her tenure as President.
As the peak representative body of the Northern Territory union movement, UnionsNT represents the
collective interests of affiliated unions across the Territory, including ANMFNT, AMWU, United Workers
Union, ETU, ASMOF, CPSU, FSU, IEU, NTEU, AEU, RTBU and MEAA.
“Territory workers continue to face significant challenges, including cost-of-living pressures, workplace
safety concerns and the need for secure jobs and fair wages,” Ms Crisp said.

“UnionsNT will continue to work closely with our affiliated unions to advocate for better pay and conditions,
stronger workplace health and safety protections, equality and social justice for all working Territorians.
“It is a privilege to be elected President of UnionsNT, and I look forward to working alongside Erina Early
in her role as Secretary to ensure the voices of workers across the Territory are heard and respected.”
