The “Call for Abstracts” for the Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation’s (CNMF) 5th Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Conference in 2020 closes on 31 May.

Abstracts can be submitted online at – http://www.commonwealthnurses.org/conference2020/

Set to be held in London from 6-7 March in 2020, the conference will celebrate the contribution nurses and midwives make to global health and wellbeing.

Abstracts are asked to highlight how individual nurses and midwives, or nursing and midwifery groups, associations or institutions carry out this objective across the lifespan in all setting within five themes – clinical practice, leadership and management, education and training, policy and projects and research and innovation.

The Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Conference will celebrate nurses and midwives breaking down barriers and playing a key role in the global commitment to achieving universal health coverage, tackling NCDs, promoting primary healthcare and meeting the Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference aligns with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) “Year of the Nurse” in 2020 and the culmination of three-year global campaign Nursing Now, which coincides with the 200th anniversary of the birth of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale.
